The Challenge:

HVK faced a complex spatial puzzle: creating an exhibition presence that would captivate audiences while working within strict floor area constraints. The brief demanded a harmonious blend of practical functionality and visual spectacle—accommodating comprehensive product showcases, meaningful visitor interactions, and compelling brand narratives without sacrificing aesthetic appeal or commanding presence.

The Creative Solution:

Drawing from the architectural brilliance of Cristián Undurraga’s Chilean pavilion at Expo Milan, our design team embraced the pavilion’s signature lattice framework and refined linear geometry, originally executed in radiata pine. This iconic structure became the foundation for HVK’s innovative double-tier exhibition experience.

The design philosophy cantered on sophisticated restraint paired with dramatic impact:

  • Vertical Space Maximization: A carefully orchestrated double-tier configuration created distinct engagement zones across multiple levels
  • Architectural Lattice Elements: Elegant structural lines that echoed the Chilean pavilion’s refined aesthetic while maintaining spatial transparency
  • Tri-Directional Illumination System: Custom lighting architecture transformed the entire structure into a luminous focal point, resembling a precisely cut diamond
  • 12-Panel Digital Canvas: Strategically positioned on the elevated platform, this technological centrepiece delivered immersive brand storytelling and social impact messaging
